Mobile Security
One of your most valuable possessions may be your smart phone, which carries all your important, personal information and passwords. Learn how keeping your phone password protected and locked can help decrease the chance of your information being used without your consent.
Email Security
Identity thieves are bold and their efforts can be very sophisticated. In what’s known as “phishing,” they send emails that appear to come from well-known banks or retailers, in an attempt to get you to provide your personal information. To protect your security, carefully examine the claims in the email, and contact the company directly to question the request (do not use the information in the email to contact the company). Most importantly, never share personal information like social security numbers, login information, or account numbers.
Remember that Elan Financial Services will never send you an email requesting sensitive personal information.
Fraud Prevention
From identity theft and fraud to suspicious activity, criminals are looking for your personal information for their gain. Our dedicated security teams are always on guard to anticipate, address and help prevent security threats, and we’re only a phone call away.
